How do I pay for the course?

You can pay for your course either by BACS, credit or debit card, or Paypal. The Paypal link can be found on our website and to pay by BACS we will provide you with the relevant details when we send your invoice upon enrolment. There is the option to pay for your course in a number of instalments. Where payment is made in instalments, the course price will be higher than that noted on our website. Please note that completion of the course and certification cannot be obtained until outstanding payments have been made.

How long is the course?

We aim to complete our Level 2 Gym Instructor course within around 12 weeks and our Level 3 Personal Training Diploma course within approximately 20 weeks when delivered face to face. Our course is a combination of self-study and and face to face teaching. Depending on when in the year you enrol on your course, we will send you a timetable of teaching and assessment dates. If you are completing your course via online learning, then you can complete this in your own time to fit in around you. Level 2 courses must be completed within 2 years and Level 3 courses must be completed within 3 years.

What if I need to take a study break?

Should you not wish to or be able to complete our courses within the timeframe mentioned above, then you are able to complete your course at your own pace. You will need to contact your assigned tutor and inform them and we can then schedule your face to face teaching and assessments at a later date, giving you the chance to work through your coursework at your own pace.

What learning materials do I get?

All of our learners are provided with course manuals, an e-learning platform that covers all of the course modules, a portfolio to complete your coursework, as well as access to our gym for your practical preparation and assessment. We also provide you with mock exam papers and prepare you fully for both your theory and practical assessments.

What if I need help with my coursework?

Your assigned tutor is on hand to help you. We will check in with you weekly. However, should you wish to speak with your tutor before you see them on a teaching weekend, you can schedule a call back and your tutor will contact you at a mutually convenient time to go through your coursework with you and answer any questions you may have.

Where are you based?

Our gym and learning facility are based within Peak Health and Fitness Gym in Tavistock, Devon. Which makes us easily accessible for those based in Devon and Cornwall wishing to undertake their fitness qualifications without travelling to Bristol or further afield.

What is the difference between a Level 2 and a Level 3 qualification?

Our Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification enables you upon successful completion to work as an instructor in a gym or health club. You will be able to carry out gym inductions, write in-house programmes and take group classes. As a Level 3 Personal Trainer, you will be able to run your own business or work for a gym or health club. You will be able to train clients in a group setting or individually, as well as writing personalised programmes and providing your clients with nutritional advice in relation to their exercise and healthy eating requirements. All of our qualifications are REPS recognised and CIMSPA endorsed. This means that you can use your qualification to work both in the UK and internationally.

When do I start my course?

You can begin your coursework as soon as you have enrolled and paid for your course and received your learning materials. We have teaching weekends scheduled throughout the year. When you enrol you will be provided with a timetable of teaching weekends. It is advisable to contact us before booking your course to ensure that you are able to attend the weekend teaching sessions in full.

When will I receive my certificates?

Your certificates will be sent to you by our Awarding Organisation, Active IQ, within 6-8 weeks of course completion.

How old do I have to be to enrol on your courses?

All learners must be aged 16 and over. Please check out our course page for minimum entry requirements for our courses.
